Drive-by Projects is pleased to present Asunder, an exhibition including photographs by Billie Mandle and a window installation by Ellen Whitney.
As we enter the dark months, this exhibition celebrates the uncanny energy that dwells in the shadows. It finds beauty in the dying flora of late fall and the ravages of a burned forest while acknowledging the promise of renewal. Mandle and Whitney each approach landscape with a transcendental eye. Through a studied awareness of their chosen environments they draw attention to the small yet unrelenting changes that occur with the passage of time and the possibilities of rebirth.
