Drive-by Projects is pleased to present Magic Mushrooms, an exhibition featuring paintings by Jon Cowan, cyanotypes by Amy Ross and ceramics by OH Clay.
2021 could be called “the year of the mushroom” here in the Northeast, as our wet spring and summer produced an unusually prolific bloom of native mushrooms. Walkers everywhere could be seen looking at the ground to ooh and aah over mushrooms they had never seen before. This mycological abundance, in combination with interest in the importance of fungi to the environment and medicine, seemed to call for an exhibition about mushrooms.
